AR & VR Game Development Mastery

Transform your creative vision into immersive gaming experiences with hands-on training in augmented and virtual reality technologies

Build Games That Transport Players

Game development has shifted dramatically in the past few years. While traditional gaming still has its place, AR and VR represent the frontier where creativity meets cutting-edge technology. Our comprehensive program doesn't just teach you to code — it guides you through the complete process of conceptualizing, designing, and launching immersive experiences that captivate players.

What makes this different from typical programming courses? We start with storytelling and user experience design before diving into Unity 3D, C# programming, and platform-specific development for Oculus, HTC Vive, and mobile AR frameworks like ARKit and ARCore.

  • Hands-on Unity 3D development with VR-specific optimization techniques
  • AR mobile development using ARKit, ARCore, and cross-platform solutions
  • 3D modeling integration with Blender and Maya workflows
  • User interface design adapted for immersive environments
  • Performance optimization for different VR hardware configurations
  • Publishing strategies for Steam VR, Oculus Store, and mobile app stores

The gaming industry in the Balkans is growing rapidly, and North Macedonia is becoming a hub for innovative game studios. Companies like Outfit7 have shown what's possible when local talent meets global ambitions. But VR and AR development requires specialized skills that most developers haven't had the chance to acquire through traditional education.

Our autumn 2025 cohort will work on real client projects alongside their coursework. Previous students have created escape room experiences, educational simulations for medical training, and mobile AR games that have gained international recognition.

1

Foundation & Design Thinking

We start with game design fundamentals and user experience principles specific to immersive environments. You'll learn why VR games fail and what makes AR experiences compelling.

Weeks 1-4: Game design theory, VR/AR hardware overview, Unity basics, C# programming fundamentals, and your first simple VR interaction prototype.

2

Technical Skills & 3D Development

Deep dive into Unity 3D development, spatial audio, physics simulation, and 3D asset creation. You'll build increasingly complex interactions and learn optimization techniques crucial for VR performance.

Weeks 5-12: Advanced Unity features, 3D modeling integration, lighting for VR, animation systems, and development of your first complete VR experience.

3

Platform-Specific Development

Master AR development for iOS and Android, learn the differences between platform capabilities, and understand how to design experiences that work across different devices and contexts.

Weeks 13-20: ARKit/ARCore development, mobile optimization, cross-platform considerations, and creation of your AR mobile game project.

4

Advanced Features & Team Project

Work in teams to create a polished game ready for publication. Learn multiplayer networking, advanced shaders, procedural generation, and the business side of game publishing.
